Mindless Jobs of America: "Mine Button Man
button man - down pit (colliery) at the begining of the shift you go down 700ft in a cage, travel two/three miles into the mine, sit at the beginning of a roadway (still underground), in total darkness but for one halogen light attached to your head, when the deputy (boss) shouted for the conveyor belts to start you press the green button. Wait seven hours and at the end of the shift press the red button (this stops the belt). Then you walk two/three miles back out of the pit and go up into daylight, five days later you get paid. I lasted one whole week (one of my better achievements).
